"I did this boudoir shoot for my birthday. I turned 51 today - I did it for me. 🍀

Lately, as I’ve been getting older, I haven’t always felt as attractive as I once did . I pour my heart into my work and somewhere along the way, I stopped pouring that same energy into myself. This shoot was about finding me again… and wow, did I.

From the moment I walked into Petra’s studio, I felt it—warm, comfortable, welcoming (and yes, she’ll literally turn the heat up for you 😊). The space is absolutely beautiful, filled with so many stunning pieces. I wanted to wear everything. I didn’t even know where to start, but Petra had already chosen outfits for me—and she nailed it. Her eye is truly impeccable.

During the shoot, she let me peek through the camera, and I was blown away. I didn’t cry… but I definitely could have. Diana worked magic on my hair and makeup—meticulous, thoughtful, and so skillful. I thought I knew “girly glam,” but seeing myself both on and off camera? I was amazed. Truly.

At 51, things sag, things shift… not everything stays “put” like it used to. But through Petra’s lens? “Holy cow,” as we say here in the South—I looked GOOD. 🔥

Petra gently guided me the whole time: “Chin up, shoulders down.” I even tried it in selfies when I got home—and it works 😉 She also showed me how incredible I look facing the light (something I used to avoid!).

And Diana—loved every minute talking makeup with you! A fellow Marilyn Monroe fan 💄 You taught me how to do my eyebrows the right way… and this curl? Still holding strong, girl!

I was so nervous going in. I felt silly, even a little ridiculous—like, “Who does this at my age?” But the second I arrived, I felt completely at ease. Petra even let me wear the most expensive thing I own—my sparkly Chanel shoes—and made me feel like an absolute queen.

This was the most incredible way to spend my birthday. And more than anything, it reminded me that through the eyes of others… I’m still pretty damn hawt. Inside and out!
Happy 51st birthday to me. 💜 I will definitely being doing this again! And you're on the fence...just do it!!! You will not be disappointed I promise! The experience alone was worth every penny!"
